Welcome and Allan Gardens

This space will serve as a collection of what inspires me and as a record of the things I’ve done. It can be hard to stay motivated, and I hope that running this blog will help.

And so, let’s dive right in!

One of my favourite places right now is the Allan Gardens in downtown Toronto. They’re essentially a large greenhouse with several themed rooms. There’s something about greenery in an urban space that makes such a large one so special.

I visited the gardens last Tuesday and took so many photos! I didn’t have my camera with me, so all of these were taken with my phone. This time around, I didn’t spend too much time in the cactus room because it was so humid, but it really is one of my favourites.

I love trying to find unusual angles of the subject. After I took this one of the tulips, a little boy crouched in the same spot and took a very similar photo.

This pond and statue room is one of my favourites of the entire gardens. The entire room feels so calm. Not to mention that the statue is of the popular Greek myth of Leda and the Swan.

I’ve been to the gardens several times, and I still don’t know where this door leads. I’m pretty sure it’s just a shed, but who knows?

You can see the rest of the photos from this little adventure on my Flickr!
